All though tracker hire is optional, we highly recommend that you take the option!
A very much, back to basics, ultra marathon.
None stop, self sufficient, ultra marathon with 118 km - 73 miles over 4000 ft of accent
The clockwise route visits the upper Colne Valley, Spen Valley and Holme Valley and passes Dewsbury, Holmfirth and Marsden. Highlights on the route include a series of picturesque reservoirs including Holme Styes, Ramsden, Digley and Bilberry Reservoirs.
Most of the route is way marked but you will require basic navigation skills (some of this, you will be doing at night... we will NOT assist! The required maps and route descriptions are available for down load. (we did complete the whole recce without maps, but we also know the area!)
The UKW really brings something new and fresh to the running. The route showcases some of the areas hidden treasures
Cut off time
4pm Saturday 8th - 21 hours, competitive
2am Sunday 9th - 31 hours, none competitive
You can let us know Friday at registration if you are going competitive or none competitive.

Catering: Basic essentials only at theStart; tea Coffee etc, at the finish, chilli, pizza, pasta and it is Team OA, so there will be cake! Food at event HQ, up to 2hours after cut off
Apart from the start/finish this is a self sufficient ultra marathon
Accommodation: local camping or we can recommend local B & B (email for info)
These maybe left at Race HQ, please label them.

Event Centre Location:
No one completing will be allowed to leave the event HQ until they have rested, eaten and been checked over by our medical team.
COMPULSORY kit list
This list applies to you all.
Waterproof Jacket with taped seems.
Minimum of 1 litre of fluids, water isotonic, or sports drink.
Headtorch / Torch with spare batteries.
Survival Bag (foil blanket etc.)
Emergency food supply.
Gells , ISO replacements etc.
Relevant map/ map extracts.
Small Rucksack, Bumbag or Both.
Hat & Gloves, fleece or equivalent, (it gets cold at night).
Although you may choose to wear shorts during the event you must also carry full leg cover either water proof or not.
A fully working fully charged mobile phone with all Team OA emergency contact details.
Race numbers to be collected from event HQ between 6 and 7 pm on Friday 14th
